Mick

Mick came to us from an unincorporated area of the central valley in California, terrified and severely underweight.  He is still underweight at 61 pounds and 18 months old (as of early June, 2026), but he should reach a healthy weight as he matures, with consistently-available food.  Mick has been mostly dog-social with large dogs of both sexes and was apparently well-socialized with other dogs before becoming a "stray" dog.  He ended up at the shelter with bite wounds from being attacked by one or more other dogs. He healed well, apart from scar by his mouth and missing part one of his ears, causing it to not stand.  With a little more confidence in new situations and on leash, Mick should make a new owner very happy with his youthful behavior and lack of aggression.
