When Maverick arrived with us, we affectionately called him our adorable train wreck. He was recovering from a fully treatable case of demodectic mange, which is not contagious and is normally curable with a single oral medication. Sadly, his ex-owner probably didn't care to bother. Maverick is very social with people and other dogs of both sexes, and he's a European large-boned guy in the 80+ weight category. His skin is almost totally normal now and he's ready to learn how to bond with a human, something he has probably never had the chance to experience. While he does enjoy the company of his person, he seeks out attention from other dogs so enthusiastically that we think he would be happiest in a home with another dog or two. He's 2-3 years old.
