We accepted Luther into our program because his owner's new living situation prohibited dogs, and her local animal shelter would not accept any owner-relinquished dogs. She was desperate, as she had been unable to find a suitable adopter for him. Luther is a very handsome 5-year-old Dobie who is housebroken, good with cats and other dogs, knows his commands, and is non-destructive, though it was mentioned that he is better suited for an adult home. Upon arrival, he looked sad and defeated, but when we partnered him with a compatible female, he became immediately happier, so a companion dog in the home may be a plus for him. He weighs 72 pounds.
