Laina
Laina is a pretty, leggy 2-year-old Dobie girl that was a “stray” dog in California’s central valley. Her animal shelter is small, so they’re able to do more outreach on the animals they take in than large shelters, and they advocated strongly for Laina, saying they really hoped she could be rescued. She has a softness to her temperament that made her defensive when she first arrived but once she felt safe we got to see how sweet she really is. Laina smiles when greeted by those she loves but she can also be a pretty good watchdog, alerting if there’s a stranger around. She has been good with other large dogs of both genders but does best if they are friendly, playful and also soft. She weighs about 60 pounds and she’s a light, leggy girl. We’d love to see Laina get the loving, understanding home she deserves who enjoys her smiles and brings out her silliness.
