Little Johana caught our attention because she was "red-listed" at her animal shelter due to a pelvic fracture. These typically require 4-6 months of cage rest, so after almost 6 weeks of rest she was spayed and is now ready for adoption. Johana, who does not know her name and has been routinely called Chickadee while with us, is about 2 years old and weighs 9.2 pounds. Though she's initially shy, she warms to familiar people quickly, and she's a good eater. Our best guess is that she's a Dachshund-Chihuahua mix.
