Humphrey
Humphrey is one of our charming new intakes, always happy to greet us with an open face and wiggly butt. He's kenneled with a much smaller dog and is respectful and sweet to her. Humphrey's animal shelter staff noted that he solicited attention and play-bowed to the staff and did well in play groups. He had been a stray dog running at large when someone grabbed him to leash him and was bitten, not severely, by the frightened and panicked dog. (We don't blame him!) It also appears Humphrey may have been accustomed to unkind treatment previously in his life, as he ducks his head and flattens himself whenever an arm is raised in front of him. We want this sweet boy to have a gentler, more appreciative home going forward. He's a blue boy estimated at 4 years old and weighs about 77 pounds.
