Harlow

Harlow was adopted from us at 5 months of age and returned 13 months later, on March 15, 2026, because she was untrusting of the woman's boyfriend and too flighty to fit well into their lifestyle.  She is command-trained, not destructive, good with cats and kids.  Responses to whether she's housebroken, good with other dogs, and good off leash were all "yes and no."  Our impression is that Harlow probably did not have the structure she required to develop more satisfactory behaviors in the home, because a foster home that housed her for two months before we took her in remarked about how she would ring a bell when she needed to be let out to potty, and the progress they made when encountering other dogs.  Harlow followed her sister, the sister being the more confident dog, so we think she likely will continue to do best in a home with a canine leader to help her learn the rules and to become better socialized.
