Darby

Darby has been with us over two years as of early summer, 2026.  One word we often use to describe him is "patient."  He patiently waits by his gate and fence for attention when he's not playing or lounging in the same dogloo with his female Dobie kennelmate.  In the early days of Darby's stay with us he was somewhat reactive to other males when being walked or when they passed by his kennel, but he has mellowed and matured during his stay, and his behavior is exemplary now.  Perhaps in his previous home he was encouraged to be more guardy, but he isn't saying.  Darby is about 5 years old and average-sized at 60-65 pounds.
