Tracy was shy, shut down and scared at her animal shelter but super sweet so we wanted to give her a second chance. She is a slight mix, possibly Dobie/Shepherd and she’s probably about 3 years old. When she first arrived she didn’t have much experience on leash and tried to hide anywhere she could but she’s been improving massively. She still needs someone who can patiently introduce her to new things and not expect her to adjust immediately. She likes having a safe space like a crate, dog house or bed in the corner to hang out but the more she trusts someone, the more she likes to follow them around. Tracy has been good with other dogs and while we think shy dogs can gain a lot of confidence and experience through living with another dog, it wouldn’t be a requirement for her. A present, patient and calm family would be ideal for her and we know her silly side will come through.
