Silas

Silas was brought to a central valley animal shelter by someone claiming to have found him.  We suspect he had been abandoned because he was emaciated and lethargic, weighing a mere 49 pounds.  He was unclaimed at his animal shelter, and during his few weeks there he gained 12 pounds.  On arrival with us, Silas was still so sad and disconnected that it was obvious he missed someone badly, though within a few days of joyous companion dogs and human attention, he began to affiliate beautifully with us.  He's about 3 years old, still underweight but gaining weight nicely.
